Citra, concerned with environmental issues, promotes a recycling program, by which not only it encourages its employees to recycle at their own homes, but also promotes integration, given that after the waste is separated it is sold at the end of the year, and the money gathered is used to take employee's children, nephews/nieces and brothers/sisters on a field trip.
From the onset Citra do Brazil has acted in an environmentally-friendly manner. Even before the São Paulo state government began its selective collection program, Citra separated its paper and newspapers so that they could be recycled. Citra has learned more about the Recycling Project carried out at Conjunto Nacional and the importance it has in our daily lives.
Currently our recycling project is embraced by upper management, as well as all employees who bring in recyclable material. The goal of this project is, in addition to help us protect our environment, to create awareness in regard to our environment’s needs through our employees and their children. Along with Citra’s recycling program, the company continually seeks to create awareness among its employees regarding the importance of reducing the consumption of paper and plastic cups, thus decreasing the amount of waste we produce in our planet.
Cultural responsibility
Citra is also concerned with its employees’ cultural education and sponsors cultural events seeking to increase leisure activities and promote greater integration among its employees. Currently we provide a Zen area for employees for R&R, as well as a small library that everyone has access to, thus encouraging employees to read, grow and even learn a foreign language.
