The main objectives of Grupo Citra, wich had its first company established in 1986, was to assist the international market with their Brazilian export needs and trade commodities, provide financing for the purchase of metals and offer consulting/assistance in local and international production projects. Within the group's first four years Citra established offices in Singapore, England and the US, making the main Brazilian commodities available to its network of representatives worldwide. Many of these networks continue to operate nowadays. Throughout the years, Grupo Citra has set up other companies, expanding the scope of its activities to cover financing production plants, logistics and warehousing services, in addition to its traditional trading activities. The group has a number of independent companies which it has associations with.
