Citra do Brazil was established as company in 1996, to develop foreign trade activities by offering to the Brazilian exporter a wide array of assistance including marketing, services and financing. However, our history which dates back many years prior, allowed us through our extensive market knowledge and seasoned professionals to identify business opportunities and expand with much confidence.

In 1999, in addition to exclusive representation, we began domestic distribution for one of the world’s leading nickel producers, Inco Ltd, currently owned by Vale do Rio Doce Company, and started to operate as an importer and distributor of non-ferrous metals and chemicals./p>

In 2000 we held significant portion of the nickel plating and casting market share, efficiently providing quality service, consequently dominating new markets.

And that is how in 2002 we established the new lifting equipment division as a result of international ties with equipment lifting and moving industries, becoming the representative for Thiele, a German-based company, and Ansell Jones, a UK-based company. These partnerships allowed us to diversify our product portfolio, as well as enabled companies to meet many port terminal and offshore platform requirements.

By the end of 2005, we established the metallurgy division that included the foundry and metallic powder departments, which supply raw materials and equipment to recover metals from effluents, specifically for the petrochemical sector, steel mills, mining and surface treatment sectors.

Today Citra do Brasil is a market leader through its national distribution capacity and warehouse facilities, and mainly servicing the following sectors: nickel plating, casting, lifting equipment, packaging and railway. Additionally it has capacity to produce metal powders and process metal salts.
